Prepare Your Design

If you only have an idea or a draft, our design team can help develop it into a clear and suitable enamel pin design for production. We will refine the details, adjust the elements to meet the production requirements, and ensure that your design maintains the expected appearance and style.
STEP 1

What should I prepare before making custom enamel pins?

You can prepare your logo, artwork, sketches, reference pictures or any design concept. Even if you only have a general idea, our team can help you develop it into a feasible enamel pin design.

Can I customize the shape of my enamel pin?

Yes. Almost any shape can do custom enamel pins. You can provide your desired outline, and our team will help optimize the shape for production.

Can I use a reference image to design enamel pins?

Yes. Reference images can help us understand your preferred style, colors, layout, or overall concept. We can use them as inspiration when developing your custom design.

How detailed can my enamel pin design be?

The level of detail depends on the pin size and manufacturing method. We will review your design, if any elements are too small or complex to display clearly, we will recommend adjustments during the proofing process.
Prepare Your Design Enamel Pins

Submit Your Artwork

Submit your artwork and project details, including size, quantity, pin style, and any special requirements. Providing more details about your design preferences, color choices, backing options, and plating effects helps our team better understand your needs and prepare an accurate artwork proof for review.
STEP 2

What artwork files can I submit for custom enamel pins?

We accept common artwork formats including  EPS, AI, PDF, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, TIF, SVG, WORD, EXCEL, TXT, WEBP. Vector files are preferred because they provide clearer details and better production accuracy.

Can I submit multiple design files?

Yes. You can submit multiple files, including logos, drafts, reference images or different versions of the design. Providing more references will help our design team better understand your ideas and create works that meet your requirements.

How do I send my artwork for a custom enamel pin order?

You can upload files directly through our online quote system or send them via email/chat to our sales team. We will review your design and provide guidance on the next steps.

Can I update my artwork after submitting it?

Yes. If your design changes after submission, you can provide updated files before final artwork approval. Our team will use the latest approved version for production.

Create Line Art

Our designers will convert your artworks into precise line drawings, which can be directly used for production. They clearly outline the metal contours, borders and key details. We have optimized the design to ensure it is suitable for producing enamel pins.
STEP 3

What design guidelines should be followed for production?

Metal molds have physical limitations on the level of detail they can capture. If certain lines or details are too thin or small to register properly on the physical pin (or too small to fill with enamel color), our designers will subtly optimize or omit them to guarantee a clean, high-quality final product.

What are the most common design guidelines used in production?

• Closed Metal Lines: Every color must be enclosed by metal borders with a minimum thickness of 0.08 mm.
• Min. Color Fill Width: 0.25 mm for Soft Enamel and 0.30 mm for Hard Enamel.
• Min. Text Height: Text must be at least 1 mm tall to stay clear and readable.
• Gradients and Shadows: Yes, we can do them! Gradients and shadows are achieved via screen or offset printing over the enamel.

What happens after I approve the line design?

Once the line art is confirmed, we will match your color preferences using the Pantone (PMS) color system, send you a complete color proof for final approval, and then move straight into production.

What if I need changes to the line art? Can I request revisions?

Yes! We offer unlimited design revisions on your proof until you are 100% happy with how your pin outline and details look.
Create Enamel Pins Line Art

Select Pantone® Colors & Metal Finish

Use the Pantone Solid Color Coated (PMS C) color system to select your enamel color to ensure precise matching during production. You can also choose your preferred metal coating effect, such as Shiny Gold, Silver, Black Nickel, or Rose Gold, to outline your design shape.
Don't know the Pantone color code? Don't worry! Upload your standard design work, and our design team will automatically match the best Pantone color code and metal tone for you.
STEP 4

What metal finish options can I choose for the custom enamel pin outlines?

We offer a variety of metal platings including Shiny Gold, Silver, Black Nickel, Rose Gold, and Antique Brass. The metal line color you select will outline your design and define the pin's overall style.

Will the color of my enamel pin be exactly the same as the screen design?

Actual enamel colors may vary slightly from the colors shown in digital artwork. Using Pantone color charts can help achieve more consistent color effects during production.

What’s the maximum number of colors I can use for my design?

There is no limit on the number of Pantone colors you can use, and no extra charge for additional colors! Whether your design has 3 colors or 15 colors, we accurately match and fill every area at no extra cost. For intricate color gradients, our team will recommend the best printing method to preserve every detail.

Do I need to choose the Pantone color by myself?

No. If you are not sure which colors to choose, our team can recommend suitable Pantone color codes for you based on your work, brand color or reference images.

Review & Approve Your Digital Mockup

We have prepared the final digital draft of the line drawings and color combinations for your review. Before the actual production, you can examine the design details, layout, and color effects.
STEP 5

What details should I check on my artwork proof?

You should review the pin size, shape, line thickness, Pantone color codes, and metal plating finish. This is also a great time to double-check your backing options (like rubber clutches or magnet backs) and custom backstamps!

Are revisions available after I receive the proof?

Yes. Our design team will help refine the artwork based on your comments. Whether you want to tweak colors, resize text, or adjust line details, our design team will refine the proof until it matches your vision perfectly.

Does the digital proof look 100% identical to the physical pin?

The proof is a precise vector blueprint for mold making. However, because computer monitors emit light (RGB) and physical pins use liquid enamel paint and real metal plating, slight visual variations in color brightness and texture may naturally occur.

Can I still update my design after approving the proof?

Once you give final approval, your design goes straight into mold striking and casting. Because physical molds cannot be altered once made, no changes can be made after final approval. Please review all details carefully before confirming!

Revise Artwork

We want you to be 100% confident in your design! We offer 100% Free Unlimited Revisions on all digital proofs. If any adjustments are needed—from tweaked line work to color changes—our design team will update your proof until it matches your vision perfectly.
STEP 6

Are there any fees for design revisions?

No, revisions on your digital proof are 100% free. We’ll revise the artwork based on your feedback and finalize the design before production begins.

How fast will I receive an updated artwork proof after submitting my revision request?

We typically send updated digital proofs for your review within 24 hours.

How should I provide my revision feedback for the best results?

Simply reply directly to your proof email or submit your feedback through our online system. Be as specific as possible—mentioning exact Pantone code changes, font preferences, or attaching reference sketches helps us update your design accurately.

Can I change the entire design concept during the revision process?

Minor tweaks (colors, sizes, line details, backing choices) are unlimited and simple. However, if you want to replace the art with a completely new design concept, it may require setting up a new quote/order.

Why didn't you modify it according to my requirements?

Because it is highly likely that such a change is impossible to achieve. Sometimes, customers request additions or updates to the design, but these requests are incompatible with the production process and cannot be carried out at all.

Where are the colors from my original file?

To make complex patterns adapt to enamel craftsmanship, sometimes some colored details and text are removed or transformed into metal lines. If you want to keep all the color elements to highlight the brand image, we also provide printed pins that are compatible with any document.

Why did you give me a size larger than I need?

To accommodate highly detailed designs, it is often best to use larger pin sizes. Many customers choose the smallest size but require very complex patterns, which may be difficult to replicate. If it is not possible to increase the size, some details need to be simplified or removed to make the design legible at a smaller size.
